The purpose of mathematics curriculum is to develop mathematical capabilities of our students and turn their knowledge into permanent learning by associating mathematics with daily life.
As part of the main themes of the class, we place importance on gaining speed in arithmetic skills, supporting the subjects with concrete learning, questioning different solutions methods in problem-solving processes and taking individual differences into consideration in learning processes. To improve the creativity of our students, we teach mathematical literacy and systematic mathematics. To increase success in mathematics, students should believe that they can succeed. To this end, we place priority to students and arrange all other variables according to them; in the teaching process, active participation of students is the core factor for TED Çorlu College.
Our goals with the mathematics curriculum are teaching basic concepts and skills, providing mathematical literacy, providing the skill of mental calculation, which is necessary for daily life, making analysis, providing the talent of deduction and induction thinking, gaining problem-solving strategies and recognizing that mathematics is an important tool in real life, taking a positive approach to mathematics, instilling self-confidence, doing research and developing aesthetic senses by correlating mathematics with art.
