It is the whole of disciplines that include history, geography, anthropology, archeology, economics, psychology, philosophy, sociology, economics, law, citizenship and human rights, examining the interaction with the social and physical environment from the past to the present, helping the individual gain his social identity. With the social studies course, basic information is given to students to become secular, democratic, respectful of human rights, sensitive and effective individuals in the protection of contemporary values.
Social studies in 5th, 6th and 7th grades, 8th grade. Our curriculum of Revolution History and Kemalism aims to raise individuals who know the past, live the present and foresee the future, including all these disciplines.
In addition to our curriculum, skills such as research, observation, communication, problem solving, perception of space, time and chronology, critical thinking, using evidence, decision making; Gaining values such as justice, equality, freedom, respect, sensitivity, honesty, scientificity, patriotism and responsibility are important achievements of our field.
Visual elements, lesson contents and activities created with technological tools are given wide coverage for our students to perceive the lessons better. In order to increase sensitivity to the issues of the country and the world, they are encouraged to get to know the written and visual media, to follow the agenda, and to recognize and own the cultural heritage, our program includes museum education activities, cultural trips, projects that increase sensitivity to our society, history and culture. Homework and projects given to students are associated with daily life. Social studies course is taught using technology tools such as maps, films, photographs, presentations and the internet. Taking into account the global connections, the principle of close and far is followed in the handling of the issues.
